NCC unit of North Bank College
About: National Cadet Corps ( NCC ) is a national organization that aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service among young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the nation regardless of which career they choose. To achieve the aim of the national interest and to inculcate the values of such an immense fervor among the students.
North Bank College had established an NCC unit during the initial phase of its establishment in 1961. At present, NCC unit of our college is affiliated to the 8th Assam Battalion NCC group H.Q. Nagaon. The unit takes part in various national and state level official programmes of the district authority. The NCC unit of the college has undertaken various social service activities as well as social awareness programmes hand in hand with many NGO’s, social welfare organizations and civil society organizations etc. as well in Lakhimpur district. The cadets of this unit show brilliant performance in the certificate examinations and many NCC drilling camps at both state and national level. Many of the cadets from this college are also able to secure various position in military and Para-military services. Seat Capacity of NBC NCC as of now is 55.
